David A. Cooper, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on March 17, 2026. He was the loving husband of Paula M. Howe and the cherished father of Nicki (Adam) Underhill Brates and Jessie (Demetrios) Pyros. David was a proud grampy to Adenine Turner, Hopper, Mabel, and Micah Brates, as well as Anastasia Pyros. He is survived by his sister, Kimberly Cooper, and brother and sister-in-law Shawn Howe and Michele Pava.
David honorably served in the United States Army as a decorated Ranger Paratrooper, with tours of duty in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Bosnia. His dedication and courage in service to his country were sources of pride for all who knew him. While serving, David had met his closest friends Wayne Wagner and James Garringer, who together shared some of their most treasured memories.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
