David M. Cory

David Michael Cory, 80, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on December 27, 2024, in his home surrounded by his family and under the care of Hospice.

David was born November 8, 1944, in Thorntown, Indiana to James and Evelyn (Davidson) Cory. He married Linda Lou Gillies on June 24, 1967. They had 4 children. He served honorably in the North Dakota Air National Guard as a firefighter in Fargo for over 20 years. After his military service, he went on to drive MAT bus for the city of Fargo. David’s passion for adrenaline led to him to his love of NASCAR and the start of his business, Cory Tours in Moorhead. David loved baseball, golf, and the NDSU Bison.

David is survived by his wife, Linda; and his beloved chihuahuas, “Homer” and “Henry”; his children, Garald, Dean (Kim), Diane (Ron), Craig (Allie); his grandchildren, Kayla Cory, Levi (Kelsie) Fischer, Carly (Noah) Kirk, Alexis Cory, Leah Cory, Angelina Cory, Grayson, Hudson, Reagan, and Lennon Cory; he is also survived by four great grand children, Braxton, Peyton, Easton Fischer and Isaac Kirk.

He is preceded in death in his parents, James and Evelyn, and his infant brother Donald.

A Memorial Service for David will be held Monday, January 6, 2025, at 11AM in Korsmo Funeral and Cremation Service of Moorhead. Family and friends will gather one hour prior. Interment of ashes will be in Fargo National Cemetery, Harwood, ND at 1PM.
