David Clyde Cribbs, 69, of Guyton, Georgia died peacefully on Friday evening, January 30, 2026, at his home. He was born on December 8, 1956, in Port Wentworth, Georgia to the late Joe Cribbs and the late Betty Lucille Richey.
David had a brief stint in the U.S. Navy, and was a carpenter by trade. He attempted marriage twice, but ultimately preferred the company of his beloved pets. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and communing with all that nature had to offer. He was always willing to help a friend and you could usually find him working on someone’s car.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Joey Cribbs and Larry Cribbs. Those who will cherish his memory are his son and daughter-in-law, David Cribbs II & Mary Cribbs; daughter and son-in-law, Denaira Rumler & Keith Rumler, and son Nicholas Cribbs; brother, Tracy Ritchey; grandchildren, Emily Cribbs, Saira Cribbs, Noah Cribbs, and Christopher Cribbs; and great-grandchildren, Benson Cribbs, Jonathan Meister, Kinsley Peroutka-Cribbs, and Roman Pearson.
