Terry I am so sorry for the loss of your Brother David. I learned of him when I joined WCHS Alumni. He was a really nice person and I know your loss is painful as was mine when my own Brother died in 1974 so suddenly. Please know that others care. I hope you will contact me at [email protected]. Larry White lost his wife of 39 years Feb 7th in an accident. He asks about you and would also like to hear from you at MrBib@Rochester,rr,com

I wish I'd heard of the passing in time to make the memorial but my thoughts to you dad and Uncle Terry, and all the culligan cousins... Tonight all of you were on my mind so I thought I'd leave a little something in case you may see...

Love Always,
Erin Culligan

My deepest sympathy to Terry and Bruce on the loss of your brother. I knew David fairly well, since I was a friend of his older brother Terry, as well as his younger brother Bruce. However, I lost contact with him, as well as other members of the Culligan family, years ago. I was shocked to read of his passing in the Buffalo News. I remember Dave as a quiet, unassuming and amiable guy. I'm sure he'll be missed by all who knew him.

I'm very sorry to hear of Mr. Culligan's passing. My partner found his obit in the paper and we here at the fire department/EMS were praying he'd make it through what happened. I hope you all know that we did everything we could for him. I hope you can find peace in this fact. He wasn't alone. I wish you and yours the very best.

To Terry and the whole family. I remember David from high school. He was always such a GOOD GUY. I didn't know him too well but I never heard anything but nice things about him. He was always a friend to me. My heart and prayers go out to his whole family. It's so hard to lose someone you love. I also thank you and your family for sharing him with the Navy to help defend our Country. Everyone who has ever served should be immortalized because they are a special breed of people.

I served with David "Doorknob" Culligan on Carver and was a Navy recruiter in Buffalo when David first left the service. Lost contact with him in the late 70's. He was a great friend and Shipmate. William "Chester" Morris

We lived across the street from David and will miss him being outside working or playing with his dog, Rebel. He was a great neighbor and we loved to hear his Navy stories.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Please let us know if we can help in anyway.
