David Vance Culp, age 86, passed away Monday September 25, 2023. He was born December 19, 1936 in Canton to his parents, the late, Paul Erwin and Mildred Mary (Vance) Culp. He was a 1954 graduate of Timken Vocational High School. David received a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from Tri-state University in Indiana. He retired in 1992 after 39 years with The Timken Company and continued working a few years for Seifert Technologies and Valley Systems but thoroughly enjoyed his work at The Legends golf course for over 20 years. Dave was an avid golfer and played volleyball in earlier years and was a member of John Knox Presbyterian Church.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Robert Culp.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Barbara A. (Booth) Culp; son, James W. (Tracey) Culp of Malvern; granddaughters, Kristen (Logan) Hershey and Allison Culp; great grandson, Everett Hershey; special niece, Becky (Ron) Coates and nephews, Robert and John (Lisa) Culp.
A memorial service will be held Thursday October 5, 2023 at 11am at John Knox Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. Michael Smith Officiating (5155 Eastlake St NW, North Canton, OH 44720 off Frank Ave). Calling hours will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday from 10am to 11am at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the memorial fund at John Knox Presbyterian Church.
