David Herbert Daseler, age 72 of Evansville, passed away peacefully on Sunday August 3, 2025. He was born on November 4, 1952, in El Paso, Texas, and was the son of the late James Graham and Julia (Truman) Daseler.

He graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor's degree in metallurgical engineering and an associate's degree in information technology. He had a long, fulfilling career as an engineer with Inland Steel Company and retired after 30 years. David enjoyed traveling and playing games with his family and grandchildren and watching sports and game shows on television.

David is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Susan (Head) Daseler; his children, Jennifer of Ft. Wayne, IN, Jeffrey of Evansville, IN and Jason (Lindsey) of Evansville, IN; his grandchildren, Zoey Wildt and Zayden Daseler; and brothers, Jack Daseler (Susan) of Taos, NM and Jerry Daseler (Peggy) of Foristell, MO. David also enjoyed the love and support of the Head, Schafer and Daseler families.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday August 6, 2025 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2301 N. Stockwell Rd., Evansville, IN 47715 with Father Zach Etienne celebrating.

Friends may visit from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 and again from 9:00 am until Mass time on Wednesday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in David's memory go to either The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, PO Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741 or to Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
