David Alan Daugherty, Sr., age 69, most recently of Woodstock, Illinois, and formerly of Crystal Lake, Illinois, died on January 29, 2026.
He was born March 2, 1956, the son of the late Charles and Bernice Daugherty.
David was owner, operator, and foreman for many years as a trim carpenter and handyman, and was the proprietor of Daugherty Construction Co. He enjoyed opal cutting, collecting coins, and work in construction.
He is survived by his children, Deanna Marie Daugherty and David Alan Daugherty, Jr.; his granddaughter, Tessa Maeve Daugherty; and his siblings, Glen Daugherty, Joyce Rudar, Doug Daugherty, and Molly Hillard.
Visitation and service details are pending. Services will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2700 W Highland Ave, Elgin, IL 60124. Date and time are to be determined; please contact David Daugherty, Jr. for details.
