David "Dave" Allen Jacobsen, born on October 10, 1959, in Plain Field, New Jersey, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Tift Regional Medical Center. He was a devoted husband whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A. M. on Monday, May 5, 2025 in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Keith Norris officiating. Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery. The family will receive family and friends on Sunday, May 4, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Deacons of Eastside Baptist Church of Tifton will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Joy Sunday School Class of Eastside Baptist Church.
Dave graduated from Clemson University, where he attended on a fencing scholarship. He had a bachelor’s degree that reflected not only his intelligence but also his commitment to his education. Mr. Jacobsen owned and operated American Wire Products, Inc. His love for the Clemson Tigers showcased his passion for college football, alongside an overall fondness for ACC football. Dave spent many joyful weekends cheering for his team, enjoying every thrilling moment with family and friends. He was also a man of deep faith, often found reading his Bible on his I-Pad. His faith guided him as a proud member of Eastside Baptist Church in Tifton, where he significantly contributed by assisting with the sound system.
In his personal life, Dave cherished the simple pleasures. He found great happiness in spending time at home with his beloved wife, Barbara Peagler Jacobsen, and their loyal dog, Luke. Their home was a sanctuary filled with love and laughter. His spirit thrived during moments spent outdoors, whether riding his ATV or motorcycle, a pastime that reflected his adventurous nature.
Dave is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; his mother, Katherine Akans Jacobsen; his step-children, Whitney and Dustin Bryant, and Shannon and Russ Rader; his brother and sister-in-law, William “Woody” and Nancy Jacobsen; as well as seven grandchildren and his nieces and grand nephews. He was predeceased by his father, William Martin Wood Jacobsen.
David "Dave" Allen Jacobsen will be remembered for his loving spirit, unwavering faith, and the cherished memories he created. His legacy of kindness and joy will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
