David Brian Denny, age 66, of Beckley, WV, passed away at the Charleston Area Medical Center Memorial Division on Wednesday, July 24, 2024.
David was born on March 26, 1958 in Beckley, WV. He was married to his loving wife of over 42 years, Kathy Lynn Denny. He was a 1976 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. He was a member of Beckley Community United Methodist Church. He was a coal lab technician for over 40 years. He enjoyed being outdoors hunting and fishing. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his 3 granddaughters who always made him smile. He was a wonderful husband, father, Grandpa, and friend.
He will be dearly missed. David was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Denny, and his daughter Virginia Rose Denny. Survivors include his wife, Kathy Lynn Denny, his daughter, Janet Rosemary Denny, his son, Nicholas Andrew Denny and wife Crystal Lynn, his granddaughters, Makensie Lynn, Aubrei Paige, and Merci Rayne, his brother, James "Alex" Denny, nephew, Aaron Denny and wife, Yvonne, and nieces, Mary and Alley, special Aunt Betty Denny, and beloved cousins. Special friends including Dave Souder, Randy McClaugherty, Gary Morefield, and Eddie Thrush.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Calfee Funeral Home in Beckley, on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Earl Brewer officiating. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service. Burial will immediately follow at the Prosperity Cemetery in Prosperity, WV. Pallbearers for the service are Nicholas Denny, Dave Souder, Randy McClaugherty, Gary Morefield, G.W. James and Aaron Denny. Flowers may be sent to: Calfee Funeral Home 800 S.
