David Wayne Dickson, 69 died unexpectedly at his home February 28, 2023. He was born in
Whittier, CA to the late Ronald Dickson and Sarah Frances Green Dickson. He was an Iron worker in construction. He was a loving son, brother, father, grandpa, and great grandpa. He had a serious accident on a construction site that left him disabled. It did not stop him from enjoying life though. He loved to fish, listen to music (the louder the better), going to the beach and lakes and working out. Most of all he loved his family. He had a pug named Daisy that made his life more enjoyable. Although his life was tough due to suffering much pain because of his accident, he kept his sense of humor and lived life the best he could.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a son Charles Dickson.
He is survived by his mother Sally Dickson Clark; Daughter Candy Tidwell and husband Joe, Son Chad Dickson Sr., sisters Sarah Hairston and husband Mike and Janice Thompson and husband Bill; grandchildren, Chad Dickson Jr. and wife Brianna, and Tiffanie Dickson; great grandchild Arabella Oberst.
A funeral service will be conducted 6:00 pm Monday March 13, 2023, at Forbis and Dick Funeral Service 1118 N. Elm St Greensboro with Rev. Bill Coble and Rev. Daniel Duncan officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the Funeral home. A private graveside will be held at Lakeview Memorial Park Cemetery.
