David was a man who loved life’s simple pleasures. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, gardening—especially growing tomatoes—being outdoors, and caring for animals. He cherished family cookouts, celebrating birthdays, and having his children and grandchildren around him. He had a special love for his dog, Zoey, and his horse, Wickey. David never missed a chance to enjoy a cup of coffee or try his luck with scratch-off tickets.
He attended the University of Northwestern Ohio, where he became certified in HVAC, and he was also a licensed realtor. David was the proud owner of Big D’s Spouting and was actively involved in 4-H. Above all else, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose love for his family was evident in everything he did. More than anything, he was a family man, and the void will now be filled with cherished memories.
A visitation will be held on Thursday - January 22, 2026, from 11 AM until the time of the funeral service at 1 PM, at Salm - McGill & Tangeman Funeral Home - Sidney. Salm - McGill & Tangeman Funeral Home is honored to serve the Diener family.
