David Allen Durant was born on August 25, 1952, in Henryetta, OK, to Johnny George Durant and Rachel Connie (Gibson) Durant, and departed this life on September 24, 2025, at the age of 73, at Mercy Hospital, Fort Smith, AR.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny & Rachel Connie Durant; a sister, Margaret (Goodwin) Kilian of Independence, Iowa; and his former spouse & children's mother, Helen (Darden) Looper.

Survivors include: Brothers: Keith Durant & Kim of Tulsa, OK, Ronnie Durant & Lucy of Twin Falls, Idaho; Aunts: Carolyn Baca and Archie of Gilmore, OK and Mildred Huddleston; Son: David Durant and Sherry of Roland, OK; Daughter: Amanda Sierra and Alex of Spiro, OK; Daughter: Casey Durant of Lavaca, AR; Also included are Dustin Sears & Jennifer of Ft. Smith, AR; Grandchildren: Dakotah Mounce, Matthew Mounce, Amarissa Sierra, Serenitee Sierra, Angel Sierra and Ky Butler, Kioees Cooper, Nicholas Fox and Jade of Vandergrift, Pennsylvania; and Braedyn Durant and Alexis of Roland, OK; Great Grandchildren: Lilith Durant, Zayden Mounce, Lila Mounce, Alex Fox, and Gianna Fox.

There will be no service. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, as arranged by the family.
