David George Durham Sr.

David George Durham, Sr., age 69, of Canton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Northside Hospital Cherokee.
David was married for 41 wonderful years to his beloved wife, Cleo Durham. He worked for Delta Airlines for 15 years and was a devoted member of Sutallee Baptist Church. A lifelong race fan, David also loved spending time on the lake with his family. In recent years, nothing brought him more joy than simply being with those he loved most.
He is survived by his loving wife, Cleo Durham of Canton, GA; his sons, David (Ashley) Durham of Woodstock, GA; Nicholas (Brittany) Durham of Ball Ground, GA; and Jesse (Paige) Durham of Canton, GA; his brothers, Frank (Rosie) Durham of Douglasville, GA; and Howard (Evelyn) Durham of Collierville, TN; his cherished grandchildren, Lane Durham and Jace Durham; and Several nieces and nephews
Visitation will be held Sunday, November 16th, from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Darby Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Darby Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Edmondson and Rev. Randy Blanton officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in David's memory to the Cherokee Fire Association at cherokeefirefoundation.org.
