I met Dave through a mutual friend who introduced me to Mighty Mick´s. Dave made me feel so welcomed in his gym, spent time showing me how to do the exercises so that I wouldn´t hurt myself. He encouraged me every time I was in his gym, and we had such fantastic conversations about God and politics! We both agreed on everything with those 2 topics... . Dave spoke of his wife and kids so highly, it was just so nice to hear him talk about them...the love he exuded for them. I had the utmost respect for Dave, and this world will miss his presence.
Dave, you´ve gone home... you will be missed each and every day... "I´m jealous of the angels around the throne tonight".... Until we meet again my friend....

Mr. Eagle was one of my favorite teachers I ever had. I took his advanced fitness class my junior and senior year of highschool. He taught me so much about fitness and nutrition. To this day I still remember the things he taught me. He had a perfect way of being funny and relatable to his students but also being a role model. Thoughts and prayers to all his family and friends.

Mindy,
It would not hurt so much if we did not love so much. So sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your loved ones.

Mr. Eagle was one of the most special people to come into my life. I was fortunate to be a student and football player for Mr. Eagle. His smile would light up a room. He had a huge personality that was shown through his huge heart. He was the first to help lift others around him. I pray for the entire Eagle family. His legacy and memories will help guide you and your family during this difficult time.

Mr. Eagle was one of the greatest people in my life. I was fortunate to be in his classroom as student and be coached by him on the football field. Mr. Eagle had a smile that would light up a room. Huge personality for a huge heart. He always went out of his way to put an arm around a student and ask how they were doing. His memories will be cherished forever!!!! Praying for the entire Eagle family during these difficult time.

Mr. Eagle was an exemplary coach and teacher at Hilliard Darby. He had such a unique and engaging way of teaching that his lessons are some of the very few that I can remember today just as if I were standing in his classroom 20 years ago. He had an unmatched ability to motivate and inspire, and will forever be missed.

Mr. Eagle as I knew him was easily one of my favorite teachers while I was in high school. He left such a significant impression on how I live my life. I learned more from him about what the human body is capable of doing and that has helped me push myself.
I'll never forget this moment during one of his classes he was telling us how terrible ranch dressing is for you and it's one of the worst things you can eat. Every time I think about getting some I always think about that day in class.

David was a teaching colleague at Darby High School years ago. I truly enjoyed our conversations about fitness. He was inspirational in his commitment.

Coach Eagle was someone who taught me to truly challenge myself. It started with track and pushed me to be uncomfortable not only in sports but life as well. He one day told me he wanted me to break the school record in the 800m. Which I had never run before and had only two races left. The first race I missed it by almost 20 seconds, but he never doubted me. And that final race I was able to break it. He was encouraged me and had faith in me the whole way.

The way that he was a light for Jesus. From very early on in my school career, I was exposed to what it looks like to live like Jesus because of how he lived his life and loved others. Dave played a huge role (as my coach for many years and my teacher) in forging the thoughts I had about faith. Part of my love for the Lord is because of the way that he lived his life. He is leaving a beautiful God legacy behind and he will be deeply missed.

This news hit our family hard, as he was definitely "ONE OF THE GREAT ONES!" Mr. Eagle was one of my daughter, Gabby's swim coaches, along with also being our kids, Gabby and Philip's Health Teacher and they so enjoyed his lessons . As their mom, I did have several conversations at the Hilliard West Pool with him and I just remember how he just embraced EVERYONE! He made you feel he had known you for a long time, always smiling and laughing...he will be SO VERY MISSED in the Hiliard Community ....RIP Mr. Eagle and fly high above us all! You left your mark in this World and my family has been so honored to know you. May God, hold his family in your loving arms as they navigate life now without you there with them. Bring them all peace

Your beautiful life speaks for itself and will live on through your family and friends. God blessed you in many ways and in return you have run the race HE created for you, dedicated and serving in HIS purpose and plan. Now called to eternal life (HE surely must need you in Heaven now, to have taken you at such a young life). I pray for God to bring comfort and peace to Mindy and the children and grandchildren. A most difficult of times. That HE will guide them and protect them all the days of their lives until that glorious day when we will all be re-united.
Isaiah 40:29-31
"He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
In my prayers,
Terri Sullivan Hager (classmate and friend)

My high school friends were truly a blessing, and Dave was right there in the mix. Too many "Dave´s" in the class so he was just "Eagle". As others tell, he was always smiling. I can´t think of a time he wasn´t in a good mood. Fondest memory, he grabbed me one day in the winter of our senior year to practice throwing a football in the gym. His "easy" throws were smacking my hands so hard that after a while, I had to beg off. I lost track of Dave after I moved up north but seeing him on the internet, he built a legacy of teaching, sharing and love. My prayers to his family, and friends.

Dave and I, and many others, went from K-12 together. His big laugh, excellent smile, big greetings upon seeing you again, even just the next day, will always be the way I remember Dave.
