Many years ago I had the privilege of getting to know Dave as my supervisor.
He quickly became a coach, mentor and trusted friend.Although we have not had very much contact since his retirement I am always reminded of the great times we had fishing and playing golf, and every once in a while we would find time for some actual work. We had a motto back then ' If you work hard you get to play hard'. And poor Carol was always gracious enough to take in some wayward guys from around the country and treat us like we were family. Carol I hope your Faith will lead you and your family through this very sad time. Keep in mind what a truly good man Dave was and he will be mist so very much.

Dave was an honorable, caring friend who shared his talents and love with his friends. Just months ago we were laughing and playing golf. He will be greatly missed.

Dave was one of the strongest (in character), most caring, loving, selfless and faithful servant of God that I've known. When I first met Dave in 1998 at Fairbanks, he seemed quiet and maybe a little guarded . . . I thought "ok, this will be a tough nut to crack" but very quickly we became great friends in the workplace and outside of work. Dave became my best "man" friend on this earth and it's hard to imagine this life without him. However, I know he is in heaven with family and friends where there is no pain or suffering; so for now I will hold onto God's promise and will be happy for Dave and look forward to the day we see each other again. I can only imagine how wonderful it was for him to meet Jesus face to face!

I am praying daily for you sweet Carol and for Joe and family, Teresa and family, Jayme and family, and the rest of Dave's family and friends. It'll be hard for all of us, but with God's grace, love, strength, comfort and guidance we will continue on in Dave's honor.

Love and prayers to you all,
Pam
