David Wayne Eicholz, age 58 of Thompson passed away November 23, 2021 at Mercy Medical in Mason City, Iowa, after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Graveside Services will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, December 3, 2021 at the St. James Catholic Cemetery with Pastor Paul Lippstock offciating.
Burial will be held in St. James Catholic Cemetery in Forest City, Iowa.
Memorials may be directed to the David Eicholz memorial fund in care of the family.
David was born to Donald and Dorothy Eicholz on September 26, 1963 at Fort Meade, Maryland. His father was in the
National Security Agency. David spent many of his childhood years moving from one Army base to another. David also served the Army, following in his fathers' footsteps.
David was the owner of D&D Construction up until he had a tragic injury to his neck and back, after falling through a roof. David went on to college and got a degree as an IT Technician. He enjoyed working on computer, repairing computers and building computers, and computer bases. David loved cooking, grilling and smoking meat. Some of his fondest memories is cooking and having the neighbors and friends over and when he bought training wheels for Little Jay and seeing the excitement in her eyes the first time, she rode her bike without the training wheels. In his pastime he would go fishing, hunting, playing golf, mowing, playing Texas Hold 'Em and making crafts. David loved the simple things in life and enjoyed playing with Bambi.
David will always be remembered by his friends and neighbors as a kind man who loved to joke with them. His friends and neighbors had a special space in his heart.
