David started working at The Lynchburg Music Center shortly after I returned there as a music teacher. He had seen an article about me and my bagpipes in a local real estate magazine. At that time I was in the midst playing my pipes for 640 consecutive sunsets. David asked for my autograph!!

I always loved seeing him days we were both at the music store. Although 30 years younger he was as much of a guitar geek as I am. We spent many happy hours talking about one stringed instrument or another.

When I learned that he had to back away from the music store to care for his elderly parents I could only admire him for such a selfless act. He was a truly great person.

As my sister would say, may he rest in peace and arise in glory. I will miss you, my friend, and cherish your memory.
