I remember Coach Fagg at Garinger in the mid 1960s. A great man. May Lord bless his family.

Coach Fagg was my COACH! I am forever grateful for everything he unselfishly did on my behalf. His influence on me was not only professional, but personal. I witnessed firsthand a winner who loved his wife, his family, his players, and his sport, and I wanted to be like him. His love for Davidson and the game of football inspired me to want to be a coach. He poured into me as a student athlete during our time together at Davidson, and he provided guidance and support for me long after my playing days were over. God used Coach Fagg in my development in a mighty way and I am grateful for the blessing of being one of "his guys." His mentoring and his friendship will forever be fond memories for me, and I feel honored and blessed to call Coach my friend. Coach made me feel part of his family, and to you all I say thank you for sharing Coach with me. His enthusiasm and direction will be missed for now, but I look forward to our meeting again and sharing eternity together knowing his love for the Lord was always evident to all. Ms. Barbara, thank you for sharing Coach with so many by allowing him to do what he loved and allowing him to inspire, encourage, and teach us what it means to be a man. Know I am only a phone call away and the answer is always yes! Please accept my deepest condolences for the homecoming of Coach and know you and the family are in our prayers. I loved Coach Fagg and I love you guys. I don´t know if football is played in Heaven, but if they do I have a sneaking suspicion I would recognize one of the guys under the headset on the sidelines! Thanks Coach for a life well lived. You know I love you!

David Fagg was the defensive line coach for my senior year at Davidson College. I had the opportunity to coach with him the year after I graduated. He was one of the most powerful influencers in my life. I´m glad I was able to tell him that at the first game in the new stadium, which was named for him.
