David Lewis Finley Jr.

David Lewis Finley Jr., 70, of Dunlap Illinois, died on June 22, 2024 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria Illinois. Born on December 30, 1953 in Peoria to the late David Sr. and Jeanette (Lootens) Finley, he married Nancy Stephany (Tolle) on September 16, 2007 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She survives.

David is also survived by his son David (Shannon) Finley III; Daughter Gabrielle (David) Boyer; bonus sons Zachary (Amber) Tolle, Joshua (Janelle) Tolle, David (Lara) Tolle; bonus daughters Stephany (Mark) Tolle; sisters Patty (Dash) Finley, Vickie (Jeff) Dries, Laurie (Dan) Finley-Smith; 16 grandchildren; five nieces; four great nieces; and two great nephews

David graduated high school and served his country as a Marine from 1973- 1975. He also was a truck driver for over 12 years working at Lazer Spot & Werner Enterprise, but most of all he loved traveling with his wife anywhere, especially the beach he loved, working in his yard, and telling stories to friends and family.

Cremation rites have been accorded and there will be a celebration of life held on July 21 from 1-4pm at the Dunlap American Legion Post #1078. Cards can be sent from and condolences left at illinicremation.com.
