In Loving Memory of Our Father, David Alan Foester, with heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of our beloved father, who lost his courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. A proud United States Air Force veteran, he lived a life defined by strength, generosity, and unwavering devotion to his family and community.
He fiercely loved his family above all else. His greatest joy came from spending time with those he loved, whether he was cooking a meal, tending to his garden, or planning memorable gatherings. He had a special gift for bringing people together, and his home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and love. It was a long-standing family joke that no one decorated for the holidays quite like he did, he took pride in making every season special, creating traditions and memories that will live on forever.
He carried immense pride in his military service with the United States Air Force. His dedication to fellow veterans continued long after his service, as he volunteered at numerous veteran events and organizations. He believed deeply in honoring those who served and giving back to the community he cherished.
Beyond his role as a father, he became a father figure to many of his daughters' friends, welcoming them with open arms and treating them like family. He was known for hosting unforgettable parties and celebrations, ensuring everyone felt included, valued, and loved. His kindness, humor, and generous spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving fiancée, Lucy; his daughters, Heather Bixler and Tiffany Foerster; his older sister, Peg Spatar; older brother, Bob Foerster; younger sister, Candy Binkley; younger brother, Rick Foerster; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who will all deeply miss him.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Chuck; sister, Dorothy; and his parents, Judy and Alfred Foerster.
Our father's legacy is one of love, service, and devotion. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the memories he created the lessons he taught, and the love he gave so freely. He will be greatly missed, but his spirit will forever live within all of us and in the traditions, he created will continue for generations.
Forever loved. Forever remembered.
