"David Forcey" IRON MOUNTAIN - David H. Forcey, 77, of 140 W. Stanton St. Iron Mountain, died Monday, March 28, 2005, at the VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain. He was born March 26,1928, in Daggett, the son of the late Jerome and Evelyn (Olive) Forcey. He has been a lifelong resident of this area. David served overseas in the United States Army during World War II. While overseas he was a guard on President Eisenhower's train. He married the former Betty Hicks on April 8, 1948, in Seattle. David worked for the city of Iron Mountain for many years, retiring in 1990. He was a member of the Uren-Cooper-Johnson American Legion Post 50. David was an avid reader and enjoyed wood carving. He especially enjoyed his afternoon coffee clutch at Hardee's. David was proud of the flag display he kept in his yard. He loved decorating his house and yard during the holidays. He is survived by his wife, Betty; two sons, David (Joan) Forcey of West Bend, Wis. and Randall (Michelle) Forcey of Niagara, Wis.; four daughters, Dorothy (Dana) Forcey of Iron Mountain, Elizabeth Jones of Kingsford, Roberta (Jeff) Marquis of Amberg, Wis. and Diane (Don) Loch of Iron Mountain; a brother, Neil (Mary Ann) Forcey of Cedarburg, Wis.; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and his dog, Buddy, who was his pride and joy. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Wilfred, Robert Dale and Corky Forcey. Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. David Snyder will officiate. Burial will be at the Niagara Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in his memory. Condolences may be expressed to the family of David Forcey online at www.ernashfuneralhomes.com The family has entrusted the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain with the funeral arrangements.
