It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of David Lee Fox Sr., a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, who departed this life on July 16, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. Born on November 25, 1942, in Great Bend, Kansas, David exemplified hardworking and dedicated spirit throughout his life.
A talented woodworker, David had an extraordinary ability to transform the simplest materials into beautiful creations. Whether he was hand-carving toys or building a cherished family home in Ellis, each project was imbued with love and care, leaving a legacy that will be treasured by his children and grandchildren for generations.
David is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Alice (Flax), two sons, Kevin (Connie) and David (Jennifer) and three daughters, Karla Weimer (Martin), Karen Knoll, and Erica Schulz, along with 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. His impact extended beyond family, touching the lives of many in his 38 years working with the Union Pacific Railroad and 20 years with the City of Salina.
A Rosary Service will be recited on July 21 at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Salina, Kansas at 10:00 am, with the Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30 AM. The inurnment will be on July 22 at St. Aloysius Cemetery in Ransom, Kansas at 11:00 am. Lunch to follow both services. Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Cathedral in Salina, Kansas, Knights of Columbus Council 601 in Salina, Kansas, or the Salina Dioceses Seminarian Fund in Salina, Kansas.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Roselawn Burial and Cremation Services. Online condolences may be sent to www.roselawnsalina.com.
