David Reid Fyffe

So sorry to hear Dave passed away. I met him on our High School wrestling team when we were both sophomores 47 years ago. Ever since then he has always been a dependable friend, one you could count on. I will always remember 33 yrs. ago when I got hit on my motorcycle by a car that ran a stop sign on Belmar Ave, I called Dave and he drove 50 miles to pick up my motorbike which was not ride-able. I always made an effort to stay in touch with him regardless of where I was. I remember his Porsche project in the barn on Fresh Ponds rd., his German shepherds, and visiting him there on multiple occasions. I remember the last time I talked to him. I called him up at his place on Bartha ave. when he lost his leg. I promised a visit, but I never got around to it. I will always regret not finding the time. My heartfelt sympathy and condolences go out to his son and family.

I am so sad to hear of Davids passing. He made a major difference in my life so many years ago, while attending East Brunswick High School and I am sorry I never had the opportunity to tell him how much it meant to me.
