I am very sorry for your loss. I was in David´s class at Jesuit and, although we weren´t friends, I do recall him being involved in various service activities in which I was also involved. Whatever the relationship, a loss to a member of a tight-knit high school class, all too soon, is deeply felt. I´d like also to mention that, to jog my memory, I looked David up on Facebook, where I was confronted with post after post of calls for animal, especially cat, rescue. I was moved by this. What a fine person he must have been.

Dave was one of the best friends I could ever hope for. We originally met in Margate, Florida when he & Alice were newly married & Jimmy was a baby. We lived in the same apartments & I actually babysat Jimmy as a baby, but we didn't realize all this until we both had moved to Tampa and were sharing stories one night. Funny how things brought us together twice in our lives. You might say we were destined to be friends.

We were both longtime Boy Scout leaders and Dave was one of the best! He was always there when you needed him whether it was to build something, to cook for an event, to plan for travel and accommodations, or whatever you threw at him...he was there to lead & support his staff and boys. BSA has lost one of its best leaders & I lost my scoub "husband" & a dear friend. Dave, you are out of pain now & soar with the angels. You will be sorely missed by many who loved you...like me. Fly free my friend .
