David Gary Ivester

David Gary Ivester, age 72, of Clarkesville, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 22, 2026.

Born in Demorest, Georgia on August 6, 1953, David was a beloved son of the late John Alford “Dutch” Ivester and Dorothy Louise Garrett Ivester.

David worked with Ivester Concrete for a number of years, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. In his spare time, he enjoyed team roping and fishing. For the past 40 years, David especially treasured camping trips shared with family and friends, creating lasting memories filled with laughter, fellowship, and love.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his sister, Debbie Ivester Walden, and his brother, Jerry Dell Ivester.

Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Pam Sanders Ivester; daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Brian Davis; son and daughter-in-law, Denver and Leann Ivester; grandchildren, Abby Davis, Cody Davis, and Tab Ivester; brother and sister-in-law, Phil and Sandy Ivester; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Michael Collins; sister-in-law, Judy Ivester; brother-in-law, Bobby Walden; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends who will miss him dearly.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 28, 2026, from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & McEntire Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Hollywood Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until the service hour on Wednesday.
