David Perez Garza passed away on May 10, 2025, in El Paso, Texas, at the age of 69. He was born on March 14, 1956, in San Antonio, Texas.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Virginia Garza; his son, David Anthony Garza; and his sister, Cynthia Sreenan.
David cherished time with his family above all else. He found joy in attending church every Saturday at St. Pius X and had a lifelong passion for classic cars. As his children grew up, he especially enjoyed working on cars with his sons and spoiling his daughter. He loved sharing meals with family and never missed an opportunity to enjoy cafecito and pan dulce.
In the final year of his life, David lived in El Paso with his daughter Kristy, daughter-in-law Sylvia, and granddaughter Auri. During this time, he embraced the joys of everyday life-attending a Chihuahuas baseball game, watching Auri play softball, celebrating her start at Catholic school, and participating in her school events. He was warmly welcomed by Sylvia's family and treasured being surrounded by loved ones.
David is survived by his son Brian Garza; daughter Kristy Alvarado and her wife Sylvia Alvarado; brother Jose Garza; grandchildren Calvin, Colby, Samantha, Eric, Adam, Olivia, and Auri; great-granddaughter Celina Rose; as well as numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.
Services will be held at a later date in San Antonio, Texas.
