David Geary Obituary
He was born on December 24, 1957 in Sioux City, Iowa to James and Lititia (Chicoine) Geary. He graduated from Elk Point High School. He then worked on the farm and IDP, He then went on to Elk Point Farmers Elevator to Road Construction for Erving F. Jensen and on to Cedar Valley in Waterloo, Iowa. He moved back and worked at AaLadin in Elk Point until retirement.
He married Linda Rosenbaum on September 22, 2024. His hobbies were going to Sturgis on his Harley Trike. He was a collector of Jack Daniels memorabilia. He was very well acquainted with the Master Distiller Jimmy Bedford of Jack Daniels who would always pay him a visit on his way to Sturgis.
Survivors are his wife, Linda; step-daughter, Charity Rosenbaum; his brothers, Roger (Emma) Geary, of Merrill, IA, Jim Geary (special friend, Linda) of Elk Point Steve (Helen) Geary of Goose Creek, SC, and Pat Geary of Tucson, AZ; his sisters, Linda (Mike) Baird of Moville, IA and Nancy Learned of Clive, IA; his sister-in-law, Dorothy Geary of Elk Point, SD; numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Doug, and Bill; a brother-in-law, Gene Learned; and a sister-in-law, Eleanor Geary.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 24, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Elk Point.
