David K. "Dave" Gerow

David "Dave" K. Gerow of Sebastian FL, formerly of Lowell MA, Tyngsboro MA, and Longs SC, who passed peacefully and painlessly from this world to another on August 5, 2022 will be celebrated and honored on Tuesday June 13th at 11AM at St John the Evangelist Church at 115 Middlesex St, North Chelmsford, MA.
Dave is survived by his bride of 54 years, Ruth Ann Gerow (Bryand). Their love story and courtship is a legend in itself which would challenge the very best Hollywood movies.
Dave said goodbye to his proud three sons, Scott of Plantation FL, Martin of Framingham MA, and Christopher of Saugus MA as well as his daughters-in-law, Angelique Gerow of Plantation FL and Leigh Gerow of Saugus MA.
Always the focus of his heartfelt love and admiration, Dave leaves behind five beautiful grandchildren: Owen, Molly, Graeson, Lilly Hope, and Saydee for whom his world revolved around.
Preceded by his mother Catherine (Kitty) Gerow and David K Gerow of Lowell MA, Dave was the oldest of five children, Brenda Bourque and her husband Joseph of Bourne MA and The Villages FL, William and his wife Kathleen of Marlboro MA, Kevin and his wife Kathleen of Norwell MA and Karen Roduta of Townsend MA.
Dave attended Lowell High School and graduated in 1963. After high school he enlisted in the US Navy as a submariner, which was a source of pride throughout his life. After being honorably discharged in 1969, he joined the world of retail and ultimately worked his way up to Buyer at various stores such as Zayre's, King's, and Richs over the course of more than 25 years. Dave worked as a manufacturers' rep from 1996 until he passed away in 2022. A savvy businessman and fiercely loyal friend to so many and especially Howard Soule of Merrimack NH, Dave's devotion, happiness, and wit made him a patriarch who was the epicenter of so many lives he touched.
Those who knew him, knew that he was someone who always cherished family over all else especially while gleefully boating on Lake Winnipesaukee NH. This time with Ruth Ann, his children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, and all of the incredible and lucky people that called Dave a friend, was his special place.
Dave also leaves behind a brother-in law Leo Bryand and his significant other Rhona O'Mara of Dracut MA, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family in and around the Boston area.
In lieu of flowers, the Gerow Family respectfully requests a donation to be made in Dave's name to The Hospice House of The VNA of Indian River County FL, which compassionately and caringly comforted Dave in his final days here.
