David Gilone Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Haught Funeral Home on Jan. 28, 2026.
David Paul Gilone, a man of profound love and exceptional talent, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026, in Tampa, Florida. Born on February 19, 1948, in Patterson, New Jersey, David's life was a testament to the enduring power of passion and dedication. He was the cherished son of the late David Gilone and Teresa Marciano, and his legacy continues through his beloved daughter Cindy Gilone, his caring siblings Donna McGovern and Daniel Gilone, his adoring 13 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and his loyal dog, Jack, who was his constant companion and best friend.
David's journey through life was marked by his service to his country, having honorably served four years in the United States Air Force. His patriotism was matched only by his commitment to excellence in all his endeavors. Following his military service, David's love for music and the arts guided his path. He was a classical pianist of remarkable skill, and his talent graced the stages of many, including a memorable performance at the New York World's Fair. His music was not just a profession but a profound expression of his innermost feelings and a source of joy for all who had the privilege to listen.
Beyond the grand pianos and the applause, David found solace and pleasure in the simple act of creation. He loved to travel, exploring the world's vast canvas, which further inspired his own art. With paintbrush or pencil in hand, he captured the beauty he saw in the world, creating a legacy of artwork that reflected his keen eye and gentle soul.
David's life was a portrait of love. He approached every relationship with an open heart, and his presence was a comfort to those around him. He was a loving father, a supportive brother, and a doting grandfather and great-grandfather. His warmth and generosity knew no bounds, and he will be remembered for the kindness and affection he so freely gave.
As we bid farewell to David Paul Gilone, we celebrate a life beautifully lived. His memory will be cherished, his music will resonate, and his art will continue to inspire. Though he has left this earthly stage, the melody of his life's song will play on in the hearts of all who loved him. David's journey through life was a testament to the beauty that can be created when one follows their passions and loves without reserve. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will remain with us always, a gentle reminder to live fully, love deeply, and create passionately.
Services will be held privately by the family.
