David Graham Obituary

Visit the Bell Tower Funeral Home & Crematory - Post Falls website to view the full obituary.

David Eugene Graham, 82, of Liberty Lake, Washington, entered the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 10, 2026, passing peacefully in his home after courageously facing the long-term complications of post-polio syndrome. Though his earthly body grew weary, his faith remained steadfast, and he is now joyfully reunited with his parents, Larry Eugene and Dora Mae “Day” Graham.

David was born on October 26, 1943, in Portland, Oregon. As an infant, he survived polio, an early trial that left him with lifelong physical disabilities. Despite these challenges, he refused to let adversity define him. His life became a testament to resilience, purpose, and faith.

The oldest of six children, David was raised in Southeast Portland and graduated from Franklin High School. In 1964, he married Susan Mead, beginning a 62 year lifelong partnership rooted in devotion, love, and family.

David’s passion for music guided his professional path. He worked throughout the music industry at Day Music Company, Tallman Music, Graham Music, and Music City. He shared his exceptional talent as an entertainer and organist in nightclubs, served as a stadium organist, and faithfully played in churches for many years. His music was more than sound; it was ministry, joy, and connection.

In 1975, David moved his family to Liberty Lake, Washington, where he lived for the remainder of his life. His commitment to his community and faith was unwavering. He served in several churches as an organist and as a member of various boards, including the Union Gospel Mission (UGM).

A true sports enthusiast, David enjoyed softball, baseball, basketball, skiing, golf, hunting, and fishing. He also found joy in writing, creating music, short stories, and several small books.

Above all, he cherished his family deeply. David is survived by his children Shawn (Lori) Graham, Robin Graham, and David “Buzz” (Dawn) Graham; his grandchildren, Brianna Graham, Lanie (Dylan) Love, Hannah Scherer, Jules (Ryeder) Nelson, Clare Scherer, Hayden Graham, and Mason Graham; his great-grandchildren, Lincoln Love and Luna Love; and his siblings Stephen Graham, Dan Graham, Beth Kaler, Jonathan Graham, and Paul Graham.

David’s life was marked by perseverance, faith, music, and love. His legacy lives on in the family he adored, the music he shared, and the countless lives touched by his unwavering spirit.

“For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but power and love and discipline. 2 Tim 1:7”
