David Kyle Grasshoff was born July 19, 1961, in Houston, Texas, to Douglas James Grasshoff and Mary Frances Grasshoff. He graduated from Scarborough High School and began working for Occidental Petroleum in the area of Accounting/Payroll/Benefits field. He was relocated to Los Angeles, California but after a short time he realized his heart was in Houston with family and friends. Once returning to Houston, David continued to work in the field of his expertise for Toyota Company, McKesson, and currently with the Kirby Corporation.
David was a very loving, kind, and considerate person. He loved his family and friends. He treated everyone with kindness and always had a smile on his face. One could feel his appreciation, his caring, his concern, his gratitude when you receive a hug or a handshake from him.
David was a devote Christian, a man who loved God, and gave all the glory to God. He was a member of Champion Forest Baptist Church. Champion Forest Baptist Church wasn't just where he "went to church", but where he had his second home and family. David witnessed to others not with just words, but by the way he lived his life, putting God before all things, leading by example.
David will truly be missed by everyone who knows him. God called this special soul too early, but we know he is in a beautiful place.
David is preceded in death by his father, Douglas James Grasshoff, and his mother, Mary Frances Grasshoff, and nephew, Joshua James Watson Grasshoff.. He is survived by his brother, Danny Grasshoff, his sister Donna Grasshoff, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to Champion Forest Baptist Church in David's name.

My heart is sad knowing David went home to be with the Lord. He and my deceased husband, Ed Howze, served many year as ushers at Champion Forest Baptist Church. He was there for me and my family as we grieved Ed´s passing. He would always stopped by to offer an encouraging word and a hug. I recently had surgery and he made sure that my children had his number to provide an update on my situation. The family and Champion Forest members will miss this devoted Christian and faithful servant. We didn´t lose him as we know where he is and that´s with our God. Thanks family for sharing him with me and my children. Rest in peace David until we meet again. Barbara Howze, CFBC member
