David Kinloch Gray, 82, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri passed away December 9, 2024. David was born February 26, 1942, to Charles and Thelma Gray in St. Louis, Missouri.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who cherished his family above all else. A devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, he was a Christlike example to everyone he knew. He and his beloved wife served faithfully in the St. Louis LDS Temple on a mission for their church. David also proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. An electrician by trade, he had a lifelong love of sports, especially golf, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. He found great joy in coaching many of his children's sports teams, creating cherished memories and passing on the values of teamwork and dedication. His legacy of love, faith, and kindness continues to inspire all who knew him.
David was preceded in death by his parents; brother Gene and "Buddy" Gray; and sons Christopher Garfield Gray and Jack Allen Gray. Survivors include his wife Jo Ann Gray; children David (Liesl) Gray; Gene (Amanda) Gray; Jodi (Jay) Bean; Jaclyn (Roger) Allen; and Charles (Cristina) Gray.
Visitation will be 12pm, Saturday, December 14, 2024, followed by a Memorial Service at 1pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 850 SE Church St, Lee's Summit, Missouri 64063. Flowers may sent directly to the church.
