David Caple Green, 65, of Benton, AR, formerly of Sheridan, passed away at his home on Tuesday, December 8, 2009. David was born on March 21, 1944, to the late Caple and Mildred Green in Pine Bluff, AR. David grew up in Gould and Des Arc and joined the Arkansas National Guard after graduating from high school. He retired in 2003 from International Paper Company in Pine Bluff. His greatest joy in retirement was having the time to spend with his family and especially his grandchildren. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Cindy; two daughters, Melissa (Van) Heath and April (Justin) Cowart; one son, Keith Harris; three grandchildren, Spencer Walker, Aaron and Kylea Heath; two loving brothers, Terry (Gail) Green of Little Rock and Marion Thomas Green of Franklin, AR; one sister, Iris Cawthorn of Des Arc; and a host of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, cousins and friends who all loved him and will miss him dearly. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, December 10, 2009, at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home, 10200 Hwy 5 North, Alexander (501-455-1067). Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM on Friday, December 11, 2009, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park. Memorial may be made to the American Heart Association, 909 W. 2nd Street, Little Rock, AR 72209.
