David Lee Greenley was born on May 17, 1948 in Port Washington, Wisconsin to Joseph and Eunice (nee Crook) Greenley. He graduated from West Bend High School in 1966. On October 11, 1974 David was united in marriage to Renee Engelman.
David and Renee spent some time working and traveling the United States, David worked as a heavy equipment mechanic and in 1989 they moved to Ashland where David was employed as a CAD operator at Brettings. He retired in 2014.
David, after retirement was busy enjoying hunting, fishing, riding his fat tire bike, welding and tinkering in his garage.
David is survived by his wife of 49 years, Renee, daughter, Angie (Duane) Pohlman, mother, Eunice, brothers, Michael (Jeanne), brother-in-law, Richard Bertram. Also survived by in laws, Edward "Butch" (Jesse) Engelman, Mark Engelman, Connie Wittling, Cheri (Jack) Erickson, Rogene Bolander, Jill Engelman, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Greenley, sister, Linda Bertram and nephew, Doug Greenley. Also, his father and mother-in-law, Edward and Dorothy (nee Garbisch) Engelman, sister-in-law, Diane Engelman, Mary (Mark) Engelman, brother-in-law, Randall (Jill) Engelman, Gary Engelman, Michael (Connie) Wittling, nephew David Engelman.
Per David's wishes there will be no formal services.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Mountain Funeral Home and cremation Services of Ashland and Mellen, WI

David was a kind person who would help anyone when he could I did not know him real well but he was always nice and liked to talk about cars and projects he was a good neighbor for sure feel bad for the lose good people like David are hard to come by
