David Adam Grindstaff

1959 - 2024

Lincolnton, NC - The world bid farewell to a cherished soul on February 2, 2024, as David Adam Grindstaff, formerly of Newland, NC, left behind a legacy of love, hard work, and dedication.
Born on December 31, 1959, to the late Daniel Grindstaff and Betty Wiseman Grindstaff, David's journey touched the lives of so many.
David's roots were all over NC and were a testament to his connection to the community, but it was in Lincolnton that he built a life full of love and meaningful connections. He was a devoted husband of 40 years to Lois Grindstaff, his anchor through life's journey. Their enduring love was a beacon for family and friends, a testament to the strength found in unwavering partnership.
A proud father, David leaves behind his two children, Devin Grindstaff (Anna) and Dylan Grindstaff (Savannah), who were the pride and joy of his life. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Kendra, Dannie, and Austin Grindstaff, whom he adored and who will carry forward the love and values he instilled. David will also be greatly missed by his lifelong friend and brother Rick Blakely (Angie), in addition he will be greatly missed by his lifelong friend and cousin, Janet Wiseman, and will be missed by those he called his illegitimate children, they know who they are.
Professionally, David made a lasting impact through his work as an Inspector for Piedmont Natural Gas and later at Grindstaff Grading. His dedication, precision, and strong work ethic earned him respect and admiration from colleagues and peers. David's contributions in the workplace reflected his commitment to excellence and integrity.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, David's warmth and kindness were felt by all who knew him. His sense of humor, compassion, and willingness to lend a helping hand endeared him to friends and family alike. Whether at work, in the community, or at home, David's presence left an indelible mark on the hearts of those around him.
A Celebration of Life David's life will be held at 2:00pm, on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, where friends and family can come together to share stories and pay tribute to a remarkable man.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Christophers Haven, 1 Emerson Pl #2N, Boston, MA 02114 in David's honor.
As we mourn the loss of David Adam Grindstaff, let us also celebrate the richness of his life and the positive impact he had on those fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love that he so generously shared during his time on earth.
