Mr. David Michael Grundy, Sr. was born on June 12, 1969, in Lansing, Michigan to Angela Kay Grundy.
David was the oldest of one brother and one sister. David graduated from Eastern High School in 1987. In 1988, he joined the Michigan Army National Guard, in 1994 he received an Honorable Discharge completing five years of Service. In 1994, David moved to Nashville, Tennessee where he received his apprentice at Carpenter Mastercraft Home Improvement. Also, he became a founding member and singer of the Rock Band, Peace Cleaver, in hopes of becoming a famous rock star. In 1996, David returned to Lansing, Michigan and became a sub-Contractor
for Superior Wall Company in Holt. His passion in the home building industry inspired him to become the owner and operator of A1 Mastercraft Home Improvement for over 26 years.
In 1999, David accepted Christ. The late Pastor Kirklin D. Hall, Sr. joined in marriage Mr. David Michael Grundy Sr and Miss Lori Michelle Bibbs on July 29, 1999, in the year of Our Lord. On June 4, 2000, Brother Grundy was baptized by Pastor Kirklin D. Hall, Sr., at Galilee Baptist Church, Lansing, Michigan. In unity, David Michael Sr and Lori Michelle Grundy's marriage was blessed as one flesh, in Christ, for over 26 years. Ephesians 5:31 NIV
Brother Grundy served God, through Christ Jesus, humbly with his spiritual gifts and talents for the Church of Love. Throughout the years, he served as: president of the Male Chorus Ministry, playing musical instruments and helping with repairs and maintenance of the musical instruments, carpentry work, church bus driver, and wherever God led him to serve. David had a passion for wildlife such as hunting, camping, trail biking, and hiking.
David was preceded in death by: his mother, Angela Kay Grundy; grandparents, Jack Grundy and Theresa Grundy; and brother, James Dickie.
David leaves to cherish his memories: his devoted wife, Lori Michelle Grundy; three sons, David Michael (Reagan) Grundy of Kalkaska, Michigan; Devin Miles Grundy of Alma, Michigan; and Dustin Mark (Emilie) Grundy of Jackson, Michigan; six grandchildren; special aunt, Kimberly Hetchler of Wesley Chapel, Florida; the Salinas family of Lansing, Michigan; and Stepdad, James McDonald, as well as other family members, friends and colleagues.
