David Lloyd Guest, 68, of Atlanta Michigan died peacefully at his home on September 5, 2024. He was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan to the late Richard Guest and Claudine (Frye-Guest) Sipe.
Dave grew up in the Ann Arbor, Michigan area and traveled to Atlanta, Michigan in his early years of life to enjoy boating and water sports. He later moved to Atlanta where he met his late wife, Mary Jo (Lucal) Guest and they were married for 44 years. Dave spent his career doing what he loved best, selling cars and after retiring he enjoyed assisting Briley Township as their Blight/Zoning Officer. Dave had a great love of family, friends, cars, boats, tractors, snowmobiles and other recreational vehicles. He enjoyed much of his free time on the water in his boat. Dave was a Mason, a member of the Atlanta Eagles, and served as a school board member. One of his favorite hobbies was spending time on his boat with his late wife, children, grandchildren and friends.
David is survived by his daughter, Rachel (Tyler) Reid of Midland; son, Brian (Nicole) Guest of Freeland; granddaughter, Halle; grandson, Keaton; his loving goldendoodle Bailey; partner/caregiver Yvette Moore; sister, Julie Kendrick; and brother, Timothy Guest. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Guest and Claudine Sipe; wife, Mary Jo Guest; and brother, Dennis Guest,
Funeral services for Dave Guest will take place at 12:00 PM on Friday, September 13, 2024 at Green Funeral Home, Atlanta. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
