David Guttery Obituary
David graduated from Central High School and pursued machinist training in Fort Worth, Texas. He dedicated over 30 years of his career to Western Iron Works before establishing and operating Guttery Machine Shop, where he applied his expertise and craftsmanship.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter and over the years enjoyed stock car, sprint car, and NASCAR racing. He was a mechanical whiz and could fix anything!
David was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Sutton Guttery; his father, Gordon Guttery; his mother, Lillian Meek Guttery Vines; his brother, Neal Guttery; and his second father, Elgin Vines. He is survived by his son, Joe Guttery of San Angelo; his sister, Lisa Vines Bibb of Zephyr; his niece, Melissa Burrage Jones and her husband Hunter; and his great-niece, Landrie Jones of Odessa.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2025 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home, 1939 Sherwood Way, San Angelo. A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 10:00 am at Fairmount Cemetery, 1120 W. Avenue N.
