David H. Rennie

To Helen and family: I was shocked to hear of David's passing and saddened. I knew Dave well in our time at PC and then more recently connecting over PC Sports and PC alumni activities. His obituary write up is excellent and certainly shows how much he not only got from life but also how much he gave. I shall miss him. Blessings to all of you.

I have been the pet sitter for the Rennie family for some years now and David always made me feel so comfortable. He had a way about him that said “you’re welcome here.” His kindness including his humor and how he really listened when you talked, was heart-warming. My hearts go out to his entire family but especially that “core 4.” I hope someone is baking cookies for Dad up there and he is cuddling with his buddy Doodles. Love to Helen, Karalyn, and Hugh.

Oh how I wish you were here to tell the story of "All Gone". It's a family story that has been told and laughed about time and time again and no one tells it like David. Probably some 40 years ago at the Lake House up in Barrington, NH Dave and I loaded up our supplies and left on a very long canoe trip around the lake. Well our supplies were of the drinking kind and it wasn't long before I wasn't paddling and both of us were singing at the top of our lungs and heard all over the lake. What a great time we had and when we finally landed backn at the beach the first words to come laughingly out of David were, "Auntie Peggy, We made all gone!" There were no supplies left. A memory that has never been forgotten and will linger on with smiles every time we hear that unforgettable phrase, "We made All Gone." Love you Cuz.

Hey Guy (as you always said to me).....your last weekend was a great one with all of us...as I told you Sat night....thank you so much for coming up and little did I know it would be such a very large blessing to all be together one last time before your passing.....me and all of us are just beginning the journey of missing you terribly today and many more times going forward....but rest assured we will all pull together with Mom, Helen, Kara and Hugh.....Love you very much Dave and eternal Rest In Peace....

Davey I will think of you so fondly and remember our cruising on the cigarette boat down the Jersey Shore, visits to Massachusetts, Florida and Pa with you, Helen and the kids. We will feel this large loss forever, keep you and your family in our hearts. We will smile and laugh recalling our many adventures in life together.

I had the pleasure of being in David's company on a few occasions and he had the ability to make you feel as though you were a life-long friend. You couldn't help but laugh with him as he employed his quick wit and humor to lighten a mood. One thing is for certain, the Rennie family lived, loved and laughed deeply and David will be sorely missed. I am very sorry for your loss Helen, Karalyn & Hugh.
