David "Dave" Thomas Hagerman, 84, passed away at home on November 11, 2025, in Spring, Texas, after a lengthy illness.

David was born in Atlanta, Georgia, to Leon Thomas and Kathleen McRae Hagerman. He attended Provine High School in Jackson, Mississippi, graduating in 1959. He obtained degrees in Chemical Engineering and Business Finance from Mississippi State University where he was a member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity.

David's career began at Dow Chemical in Plaquemine, Louisiana. He subsequently worked for Humko Oil in Memphis, Tennessee, before moving his family to Jackson, Mississippi. David worked for several chemical, engineering, and agricultural companies before his career took him to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and later Clear Lake, Texas, where he worked with several engineering firms until his retirement.

He was known for his warm smile, sense of humor and sharp wit. David's main hobby was math and how it could be applied to the business world. He developed several computer programs to analyze stock and commodity markets that were sold for commercial and personal use.

David loved seafood and barbecue. A great day for him was a good meal and some SEC football with family. He dearly loved his family and his dogs.

He was a faithful member of Bay Area Presbyterian Church and later at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church where he taught Sunday School and served as a deacon. David and his family formed wonderful friendships in these churches.

David is preceded in death by his parents Leon Thomas Hagerman and Kathleen McRae Hagerman. He is survived by his wife, Georgiana White-Hagerman; the mother of his children, Lynn Hagerman-Cearley; sons, Chris Hagerman (Dyna) and Greg Hagerman; his grandson, David Theodore Hagerman; sister, Carolyn Mellon (Bobby); and sister, Shirley Farrell (Mike). He was also blessed with four nieces and two nephews. David will be missed by all those who loved him.

The funeral will be on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Crowder Funeral Home, 111 East Medical Center Boulevard, Webster, Texas, 77598.
