David Gene Hamblen Sr

David Gene Hamblen, Sr., 69, of Slater, Missouri, passed away June 13, 2025 at Big Bend Retreat in Slater, Missouri. He was born December 15, 1955, in Carrollton, Missouri son of Hugh Daniel and Marie Fay (Lisby) Hamblen On July 25, 1977, in Marshall, Missouri, he married Brenda Lea Gibson, who survives of the home. David worked as a supervisor for the Marshall Hab Center for over 30 years retiring in 2011. He loved Fishing, Hunting, working around the house, riding the ATV, working on lawn mowers and just spending time outside. Survivors include his wife Brenda Hamblen of the home, a son, Daniel Lee Hamblen, Slater, Missouri; two brothers, Danny Fletcher, Hamblen, Marshall, Missouri; Frank Leon Hamblen, Boonville, Missouri; 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son David Gene Hamblen, Jr and a sister, Wanda Fay Malan. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later time. The Family suggests contributions to the Diabetes Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Bittiker Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri.
