Supt. Overseer Pastor David Lee Hardy Sr.

Supt. David Hardy was born in Ybor City, Florida on February 6, 1943, to theparents of Clifford and Irene Hardy. Pastor Hardy is the 2nd oldest out of 6 children. Pastor David Hardy better known as "Buddy", graduated from Lincoln Memorial High School in 1963. While in school Pastor David Hardy played basketball, football and track. If Pastor Hardy was here, he would tell you that his
brother Arthur Hardy stole his thunder and then laugh. Pastor Hardy went to college at Allen University in Columbia, SC for Business Administration. He left Allen University one year after and came to Miami, FL where he attended AM
Cohen Temple COGIC. In 1965, while going to AM Cohen Temple COGIC, he metMs. Rose B. Humes. They later got married in 1966 after he joined the Air Force.
Pastor Hardy got saved in 1972 in Memphis, TN at the convocation at MasonTemple COGIC while listening to the late Bishop Richard White. His sermon was"Are you going to Heaven or Hell". Pastor Hardy stated he wanted to go to heaven, so he stepped out and got saved. In 1973, Pastor Hardy received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. In 1974, Pastor Hardy received his orders to go to
Raid City, SD Ellsworth Air-Force Base. In 1975, Pastor Hardy received his Elders license and was appointed to the Worship Chapel on the base as the 1 st COGIC pastor of Ellsworth Air Force Base Worship Center. One year later he was
appointed as District Supt. under the leadership of Bishop Roberson. Pastor Hardy was there for 5 years. In 1979, Pastor Hardy joined the National Adjutant Core where he was Bishop Jacob Cohen where he served faithfully for 46 years. In 1979-1980, Pastor Hardy was station in South Korea, where his family had stayed in Miami. Pastor Hardy received his new assignment for Goodfella Air-
Force Based in San Angelo, TX. Pastor Hardy was an assistant Pastor Hardy stayed there for 9 months and then station at Rhein Main Air-Force base in West Germany. As he and his family got settled in good. The late Bishop Moody gave him District Supt. In 1984. In 1986 his tour was over. Pastor David Hardy retired at Homestead Air Force Base.
Pastor David Hardy and his family went back to their home church AM Cohen Temple COGIC. In 1992, Pastor David Hardy was appointed to pastor at Wells Temple COGIC. Where he served for 33years. Pastor Hardy is the 3 rd pastor in this historical from Coconut Grove, FL.
On February 9, 2019, there was a change in his life. Pastor Hardy lost his only wife Rose B. Hardy. Then 6months later he had a massive stroke. In 2019 Bishop Jimmie Williams ametrias him. However, his story doesn't end there. In 2022, Pastor Hardy moved to Douglasville, GA to live with his daughter and son-in-love. Pastor Hardy started going to Rebirth Ministries International under the leadership of Bishop Kevin Whitaker and Apostle Dwana Whitaker where he was still giving his wisdom and knowledge. He was known to Raising The Standards
International Fellowship as the Father of Fellowship. In 2025 Pastor Hardy started attending Greater Mount Olive Ministries under the leadership of Bishop Randy Parker and Lady Parker. Everywhere Pastor Hardy went, he left and a great impact on everyone's life.
On October 18, 2025, God whispered in his ear and called him home. Pastor Hardy presided in death; Rose B. Hardy (wife), Julie Hardy (daughter), Clifford Hardy Sr. (father), Irene Hardy (mother), 3 brothers Clifford, Arthur, and Alexander Hardy. 2 sisters Lee Arla Hardy and Louise Dunbar. 1 grandson David A. Hardy, and 1 Great-Grandson Messiah T. Atkins
He leaves in mourning Ruth Humes (Earl Humes deceased), adopted son Eric Henley (Sheila Henley) David L. Hardy Jr (son), Erica L. Swanson daughter (John Swanson son-in-love), Grand-children: Andre Gregory, Shanice Hardy, Imani Swanson, Najji Swanson, Ashanti Middlebrooks. Great grand-children Jayden Gregory, Victoria Gregory, Elizabeth Blank, and Romari M. Metz. God children
never called them God children these are his children: Joyce Johnson (Corey Taylor son-in-love) Leatha Bush (Jeffery Bush deceased), Thomas Livatt (Martha Livatt daughter-in-love), Sylvia Smith (Leighton Smith son-in-love), Chinetha McKnight (Tyrone McKnight son-in-love), LaShunda Martin, and LaKisha Dale (Carl Dale son-in-love) and full of nieces, nephews and friends that loved him.
