David A. Heim

Dave was greatly responsible for getting my father who had a rare brain disease to the V.A hospital in Bedford when my father was losing his mental capacity. I will never forget him being there that day. And the counless boatrides up the Sudbury River...The many visits to people in need and his solutions. There was always a way to get the handicapped something to improve upon their lives, and that included mobility. I saw him in Ashland a couple of years ago and it was good. The world is a lesser place now...This one goes deep.

Dave was a wonderful friend, who will greatly will be missed, he was a man of great compassion for helping others. REST now my friend, i am sorry for your loss

David's life will be lived through each of us he touched, and the incredible impact he made on our lives. I remember David telling me about putting the plow on the power chair, and opening up opportunities for others to be out in the snow enjoying nature with their new powered mobility. Sam, Joey, and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Countless wonderful childhood memories come to mind when I think of your dad. Boat rides on White Hall, biking, fishing, playing Monopoly together, buffet lunches, and the list goes on. I am thinking of you and wish you much love and comfort at this time.

Having lived in town all my life and growing up with all of us in the neighborhood brings back tons of memories and watching our kids grow up and hang out and live life says it all_you never know when life as we know it is going to change so do what you need to do to make the best of it and make sure you leave many memories behind. The best childhood vacation ever was the time that the Heim's, the Young's, and the Formisani's all rented cottages on the same street at the Cape. it seemed as though there was a "slew" of us. I can remember 15 or so, of us trying to get into a restaurant for dinner. David and I were paired in line at Marlborough High graduation in 1979. We sat next to each other. My Mom tells me David lived just a street or so away from me. I wish I know. I would have visited. It is so sad to hear about his passing. My prayers and hugs to you all.
