David Herman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Rembs Funeral Home and Crematory - Marshfield on Jan. 17, 2026.
David Allan Herman, 79, of Marshfield passed away at Abbotsford Healthcare Center on Thursday, January 15, 2026 under the care of Hope Hospice and Palliative Care.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for David at 11am Thursday, January 22, 2026 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Father Douglas Robertson will officiate, music will be provided by Lee Riekki and the Resurrection Choir. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. The family welcomes relatives and friends for visitation Wednesday evening from 5-7pm at Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield and from 10am until Mass Thursday at church.
David was born January 3, 1947 in Marshfield, WI to Raymond and Germaine (Sautner) Herman and was educated at Our Lady of Peace and Columbus High School in Marshfield, graduating in 1966. He was married to Patricia (Sterzinger) Herman on January 6, 1989 in Colby, Wisconsin. David was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.
Most of his adult life was spent working for Wick Building Systems until 2012 when they closed. On weekends, he would fix his uncle's farm equipment. After Wick Building Systems, he worked at ODC before retirement.
David was a proud member of the National Guard from 1966 until 1972. He worked at the riots in Madison during the Vietnam War.
David enjoyed old farming implements, taking pictures, making multiple copies of any article he found interesting, investing in stocks and driving around town.
He is survived by wife Patricia and his two children, Jonathon and Kristalena. He is also survived by a brother Danyl (Carol) Herman in Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond, his mother Germaine (Toots), numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
We would like to thank the Abbotsford Healthcare Center and Hope Hospice for their care and dedication to keeping David healthy and comfortable.
