David W. Higgenbotham, 77, of Belmont Ohio died April 2, 2025 at his home in Belmont, Ohio.
He was born on October 9, 1947 in Fairpoint, Ohio, a son of the late Louis and Laura Moore Higgenbotham.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Sonya Bobot Higgenbotham on October 22, 2021, brothers; William, John, Allen, and Alfred, and a grandson, Joshua Paulick.
Surviving are his children; Michael (Kristen) Higgenbotham and Kimberly Paulick, grandchildren; Dylan Higgenbotham, David (Allie) and Kierah Paulick, and Demitree Turner as well as one brother, Lewis Higgenbotham.
Dave was a United States Army Veteran and proud coal miner for the majority of his life, dedicating time to the Saginaw Mining Company and later by AEC Century Mine.
He was a man that loved his family and never met a stranger. He was loved by so many, especially his family and friends from Route 40 Lumber Jaxe Pub. He spent his life making people laugh and making the world a better place by just being a part of it.
Here's to the joy of Dave and his unending smile, with his mission to bring joy to everyone he met. A fanatastic, ornery, zesty, soul.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Dave's memory at CARE Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 204 West Main Street, St. Clairsville Ohio on Friday April 18, 2025 from 10am until time of Full Military Honors at Noon, Time of Remembrance will immediately follow.
