Born on June 3, 1940, in Erie, Pennsylvania, David was the son of the late Walter and Ruth (Schauble) Holmstrom. He graduated from Strong Vincent High School in 1958 and proudly served four years in the U.S. Navy Air Group during the Vietnam Era.
After his service, David earned his degree from Penn State Behrend and began a long, successful career in quality engineering. He worked as an inspector at R.M. David went on to serve as Vice President of Quality Engineering at Dawson Metal in Jamestown, NY, where his leadership, precision, and high Standards left a lasting mark.
