David James Hopkins, 69, of Henderson Nevada, passed away peacefully on April 2nd, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.
David led a long and accomplished career, dedicating 40 years to Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Retirement brought the joy of travel, shared with the love of his life, Janet, as they explored the world together—often joking that he had mapped out every public restroom along the way.
Raised in a Catholic home, David remained active in his faith and found joy in the simple pleasures. He was known for his love of dancing, indulging in a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and his devotion to his family.
David leaves behind his children: Aaron and wife Felicia, Leda, and Chad; grandchildren: Christopher and Katelynn; and his sister, Karen, but will be reunited with his youngest son, Ryan; his cherished wife, Janet; his sisters, Rosie and Laura; and his parents, James and Ramona.
He never missed a chance to dance, laugh with his grandchildren, or gather with family and friends. His life was a journey of faith, love, and joy – and he walked it with grace and humor every step of the way.
