David Nelson Horton

Our beloved David Nelson Horton, Age 73, of Houston, Texas passed away on December 7th, 2025. Dave was born on November 21, 1952, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Raymond Howard and Norma Sue Smith Horton. He graduated from Norland Miami High School and pursued a career as a Commercial Electrician, a profession he was very passionate about. Beyond work, Dave had a passion for his beloved Marine Corp, baseball, music, and loved to play the guitar. Friends and family will remember him for his patriotism and love of country, his Christian values, a defined resilience and integrity. Dave is survived by his wife, Sharon Horton, sons, Frank Puleo, wife Summer, and Forrest Puleo, wife Michelle, grandsons, Sam Puleo, Nathan Puleo, Elijah Puleo, Benny Puleo and Hunter Nguyen Puleo, his brothers Stan Horton, Tommy Horton and sisters Wanda Pink and Ada Horton. He is preceded in death by Howard Horton, Norma Horton, sister Donna Horton, and brothers Gary Horton, Tim Horton, and Roy Horton. A Memorial Service with Marine Corp Honors will be held on December 23rd at 10:15 AM at the Houston National Cemetery. A life celebration lunch will be held afterwards for family and friends at an alternate location. "He will be deeply missed and, in our hearts, forever remembered."
