Dave was hard to get to know, but when I pushed forward for conversation at the fence he was between our homes, he was a good guy.

I moved by Dave and Mary in 2020, at first he was hard to get to know. But soon after me waving and yelling hello he warmed up to me. Mary would catch us at the fence talking endlessly about daily events, the dogs and whatever we could think of. I really enjoyed getting to know and wish him comfort on his journey from here on. One day he asked me what I was attempting to do in the front yard, I had to laugh as I wasn't sure either. Just trying to grow grass during the summer months was my reply. Dave worked in his yard during hot days, trying to protect his flowers from the dogs digging by the fence. My first memory of Dave was him doing woodworking in his driveway, I asked what he was building. and he said a headboard for his wife. I thought that was so sweet after 17 years of marriage.
