David was the 4th child born to Willie Jackson and Carrie Banks on October 31,1950 in Brazos County.
He started his public education in the Bryan Independent School District and graduated from EA Kemp High School.
David was a truck driver for Thurston and then spent 27 years at Frito Lay before he retired. Although being a local driver, he amassed over 2 million safe driving miles with Frito Lay. He never met a stranger and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age at Fairview Baptist Church.
His death was preceded by the passing of both of his parents, his sister Willie Mae Taylor, his brothers Roosevelt Jackson and Sam Jackson, his maternal and paternal grandparents, aunt Annie Jones, uncle Columbus Duren and many other cousins, family and friends who likewise were Christian believers and are now in the Hands of the Lord.
David leaves behind to cherish his memory and carry on his legacy his children, Bianca and Brandon Jackson, granddaughter Liyah Hutchings, brother Cornell Jackson and sisters Genell Jackson (spouse Billy Jackson) and Gloria Jackson. He also leaves behind a host of cousins, other relatives, friends, church family and former co-workers.
